Powdered Brows
This is a technique I use a tattoo machine specifically for permanent make up. Powder brows help clients achieve more of a soft, powdered or Ombre look instead of individual hair strokes. Powdered brows have a soft makeup look and work great for all skin types and clients with oily or mature skin. We can customize your powder brow by how much we saturate the brow with pigment. If you want an extremely natural powder brow, we will saturate the brow little by little so that it looks more pixelated and soft. If you want your brows to look completely filled in, we will saturate the brow entirely to create a more bold look.
Benefits
Ideal option for oily or sensitive skin, unlike microblading
Require less touch-up appointments
Gives the appearance of fuller, defined brows
Powdered brows can last longer than microbladed brows, usually up to 5 years.
Powdered Brows FAQ
What are powdered brows? And how is that different or similar to microblading?
The powder brows technique uses a rotary tattoo machine that has a needle instead of a slanted hand-held blade like in microblading.
Is the touch up session necessary?
Yes! A touch up session after 4-6 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and outcome will vary. Certain areas may not pick up during first session and will need to be refilled. Pigment color may need to be adjusted, brow thickness and more strokes can be added.
Is it painful?
The pain level for the procedure is considered mild to none. Prior to the procedure, Tiffany will apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area, and also reapplied during the procedure. Everyone responds differently to anesthetic; depending on the client, the feeling of the procedure has been described as light cat scratches to not feeling anything.
How long does it last?
Color retention varies per person and also depends on other various factors such as: sun exposure, skin type and skin care products but if you want to maintain the shape and color, a retouch every 2-3 years would be advisable.
How long does the procedure take?
The first session should take 3-5 hours. During this session, Tiffany will shape and style the client’s brows for client approval. We then follow with pigment color selection. Once the client is satisfied with the choices, we begin the procedure!
